How to get the best out of your lightly roasted single-origin artisanal coffee.
You paid a lot for this coffee. I want you to get the most out of it.

Grinding Recommendations
I send you whole bean coffee because I roast it after you order it. It’s not sitting on a shelf somewhere getting stale. Once you roast coffee, it needs to rest for 2-3 days before you grind it.
I strongly recommend fine-grinding these beans as if you were making espresso. But don’t make espresso. The fine grind helps bring out the subtle flavor of these NOT BURNT beans. But please give these beans long contact with water in order to experience their full range of flavor. See my Brewing Recommendations below for more details.
Brewing Recommendations

For best results, make NOT BURNT Coffee with a French press. The French press will bring out the oils in the beans and provide a full-bodied experience in every sip. This makes a delightfully complex brew, as the rich body combines with the clean and fruity aromas for a clean cup any coffee lover will enjoy.
A steel-filter drip coffee maker will also draw out the natural oils and make the flavors shine.
The same goes for a pour-over using a steel filter.
The second-best method is a pour-over using a non-bleached paper filter.
For convenience, I use fillable non-bleached paper tea bags. It allows me to steep the coffee as long as I like, getting more caffeine out of each cup. It also makes my coffee portable for traveling or just taking to work.
Fillable K-cup pods also work well.
I do not recommend making NOT BURNT Coffee in an espresso maker. The beans are not in contact with the steam long enough to pull out any flavor. You will get a pale, undrinkable cup of espresso.
As for cold-brewing NOT BURNT Coffee—there’s really no need. That process is used in order to keep the bitterness level down of burnt coffee. If you want iced coffee, just brew a cup, or even a pot, of NOT BURNT Coffee and let it cool down in the refrigerator. Add ice only after it’s cold. Otherwise you will water it down too much.
If you want to add milk or sugar to NOT BURNT Coffee, start with a small amount so as not to overwhelm the coffee flavor.
I sometimes add a little cinnamon or cardamom to my ground coffee before brewing for a little pop of spice.
